Over the years, particularly during my university life, I have developed a habit of leaving my possession unattended. This well-established practice of leaving our bags behind do bring about convenience throughout the university, especially in canteens when we join the queue while wishing to hold a seat , in libraries when we search through the shelves for books, and in classrooms when we want to have some fresh air before class starts. Several friends and I dare to do likewise even when eating out.: when the two of us brought our breakfast this morning, I left my mobile inside the bag at the table. Fortunately again, my confidence did not fail me.
We went back to the university after a delightful breakfast. It was raining, and when we were about to enter the building, I considered if I would leave my wet umbrella at the entrance - and I finally did it, putting it among several dozens of others. When I was about to leave the library several hours later I was reminded to retrieved it, only to find that it was not at the place where it had been. We ransacked the shelves on which umbrellas are placed, in hope of discovering it, but to no avail. Unlucky as I was, it is comforting that my carelessness has only cost me 20 dollars - for buying a new one of the same model and color. Not so bad, after all.
